Are you passionate about patient safety and process improvement? If so, this may be the job for you. The Risk Manager is responsible for the coordination of efforts necessary for the identification, evaluation, monitoring, reduction and/or elimination of professional and general liability risk exposures. The Risk Manager counsels and educates leadership, clinical personnel, medical staff members and trainees related to risk exposures including risk prevention and risk reduction. The Risk Manager conducts investigations into untoward patient events, make decisions regarding the need for Root Cause Analysis and Sentinel Event determination and if such occurrences are potentially compensable events.
At least 3 years' relevant work experience in a health care environment including performance improvement and/or risk management activities.
A Bachelor's Degree in a healthcare related field (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree).
ARM (Associate in Risk Management) or CPHRM (Certified Professional Healthcare Risk Mgmt) certification is preferred.
