Position Summary : This position includes a combined responsibility for quality improvement planning and oversight and organizational compliance program management. The Quality Improvement and Compliance Director works with the Network Executive to plan, organize, direct, and lead the personnel and work process of the quality improvement program. Scope of responsibly encompasses all settings of the organization. The director has detailed understanding and can skillfully use the techniques of workflow design, project management, quality improvement, outcomes measurement, and statistical analysis. The director is responsible for conformance to regulatory requirements, contractual obligations, and corporate policy by the organization's quality improvement program. As the Compliance Director, this position will oversee the Corporate Compliance Program, functioning as an independent and objective body that reviews and evaluates compliance issues/concerns within the organization. The position ensures PRHCN, its management and employees, are in compliance with the rules and regulations of regulatory agencies, that company policies and procedures are being followed, and that behavior in the organization meets the company’s Standards of Conduct. This position will serve as the HIPAA privacy and security director. The position reports to the Executive Director of Pullman Regional Hospital Clinic Network and has no current direct supervision responsibilities.
Job Specifications :
Minimum Education- Bachelor's Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred or related certifications from an accredited compliance program. Clinical licensing required.
Field-of-Expertise- Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Health Sciences, or related field. The Quality Improvement and Compliance Director should have knowledge in many areas, including business administration, clinical activities, coding, billing, reimbursement, risk management, process improvement methods, and knowledge of the laws and regulations applicable to the medical practice environment. The director should have good judgment and the ability to prioritize. To create the necessary culture the director should be respected, maintain strict confidentiality, and should be considered to be approachable by the other members of the organization as well as patients.
Minimum Experience- A minimum of ten (10) years in healthcare organizations to include demonstrated leadership capacity with five years of progressively responsible management experience within medical practice operations. Licensed clinical experience required. Familiarity with operational, financial, quality assurance, and human resource procedures and regulations is a must.

Pullman Regional Hospital Clinic Network is located in Pullman, WA and is a subsidiary of Pullman Regional Hospital consisting of four medical practices and a centralized billing office. The network owned practices include Palouse Pediatrics, Palouse Psychiatry and Behavioral Health, Palouse Heart Center, and Pullman Family Medicine. There are 21 physicians and practitioners in the network serving the residents of Pullman, Moscow, Lewiston, and Clarkston and the surrounding areas.
